Founded by Eugene "Debbs" Potts to commemorate Oregon's Centennial
in 1959, Pottsville is home to thousands of items commemorating
Oregon's history, from it's legislative halls to the local logging
woods. Pottsville is the "Home of Oregon Memories."
Step back in time with two museums, a Pioneer Town and lots of Outdoor Exhibits.
" I want to perpetuate a place where a poor man or rich can go to look at things for free and learn a little about Oregon History. People need to understand our past."
~ Debbs Potts
We invite you to browse through our website and read about Debbs Potts and the history of Pottsville. Be sure to check out the activities and attractions we have to offer including our annual summer events such as our Antique Tractor Show & Pull, Pow Pow and Ratrod Car Show all taking place at Pottsville. See our Events Section for details.
WAYS TO ENJOY POTTSVILLE
Park and Walk - Leave your vehicle in the parking lot or drive thru the gate and find some shade, then "Take a Walk Through History". Our signs not only inform you about the items on display but they offer clues into a linear history of that era. If, by chance, we see you walking around and we are not busy, we will be happy to show you the museums.
Schedule A Tour - Please call 541-476-7319 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to plan a tour. One of our directors will call you back to arrange a time that works for you.
Dog Walking - Come out and enjoy some history while you walk your dog. Dogs need to be on a leash. Please pick up after your pet.
Picnics - Come out for some history then find a shady spot and have a bite to eat. Picnic tables are also available. No alcohol or drugs allowed. Please take your trash with you.
Drive Thru - Drive through old town and take a look at our outdoor exhibits.
